HVAC installation & replacement
HVAC Installation Done With the Repair Technician's Perspective
Most customers see an installation once. We see installations again later — when something goes wrong. That experience shapes how we install.

We have to live with the systems we install
Designed and installed with long-term serviceability in mind
We've spent years diagnosing systems installed by others: improper wiring, poor configuration, piping and drainage problems, equipment that was oversized or undersized, controls that were never integrated, and units installed where nobody could reach them for service.
We install systems with the future technician in mind — because we know that technician may be us.
What installation includes
From system selection to customer instruction
- System selection
- Choosing the right type of system for the building and how you use it.
- System design
- Layout, piping, ducting and control strategy for the application.
- Equipment matching
- Indoor and outdoor components, boilers and controls that belong together.
- Controls & wiring
- Thermostats, zoning and low-voltage wiring done cleanly and documented.
- Airflow
- Ductwork, returns and blower settings that match the equipment.
- Configuration
- Equipment and thermostat settings set for the actual system.
- Commissioning & testing
- Verifying operation in each mode before we leave.
- Customer instruction
- How it works, what to expect, and what to watch for.
- Maintenance planning
- What the system will need, and when.
Many people can install equipment. The real test is what happens afterward.
Honest limits
What we do — and what we don't claim
Air Mechanical selects, designs and installs residential and light commercial HVAC systems based on field experience and manufacturer requirements. We don't present ourselves as a licensed engineering firm; where a project requires stamped engineering, that is handled by the appropriate professional.
Replacement isn't automatic. If a repair is the better answer, we'll say so.
