HVAC Repair & Diagnosis
When something isn't working, we find out why. Air Mechanical diagnoses the system — not just the first part that looks bad — and restores it properly.

When something isn't working
We find out why
A failed component is not always the root cause.
A burned capacitor can point to a motor problem. A failed igniter can point to a venting problem. A Nest that keeps restarting can point to a transformer, a wiring problem or a control board. Replace only the visible part and the same failure tends to come back — usually at a worse time.
So we evaluate the system as it actually exists: the equipment, the controls, the wiring, the airflow or water flow, and the way it was installed. Then we explain what we found in plain English.
The equipment has a brand. The problem has a solution.
Whatever is installed, we understand how it works, how it fails and how it should be repaired.
Where problems actually come from
Sometimes the real problem isn't the part that failed
- Wiring
- Loose, mislabeled or incorrect low-voltage and line-voltage connections.
- Controls
- Boards, relays, zone controls, thermostats and sensors that disagree with each other.
- Configuration
- Equipment or thermostat settings that never matched the system.
- Airflow
- Restricted returns, undersized ducts, dirty coils and blower problems.
- Installation
- Shortcuts, piping, venting or drainage issues that stress the equipment.
- Equipment selection
- Systems that are oversized, undersized or wrong for the application.
Intermittent problems
The problems other people couldn't pin down
Intermittent failures are the hardest to diagnose — the system works when the technician arrives and fails after they leave. Tell us when it happens, what the system does, and send photos or video if you can. That history is often what leads to the cause.
Professional service evaluation
How service works
- 01
Request service
Tell us what's happening and send photos of the equipment if you can.
- 02
Professional evaluation
We inspect the actual equipment and determine the problem and the appropriate solution.
- 03
Restore the system
When possible, we repair it properly and explain what we found. You approve the work before it proceeds.
